Each year, Spring publishes an artist’s hand-made map of Hong Kong’s Wong Chuk Hang that is meant to guide folks around the area, while also serving as documentation of the supersonic evolution of the neighborhood. Spring wants you to be able to find the gems over here, so their map shows both new and established artspaces, eateries and a few beloved WCH landmarks.
SPRING MAP COMPETITION: Spring Workshop seeks Hong Kong-based artists to create a neighbourhood map of Wong Chuk Hang. Map must be readable and clear and show certain key landmarks, but generally can be done in whatever style the artist wishes (hand-drawn or computer-rendered). The map that wins first prize will be used in Spring’s materials in print and online. The runner-up maps may be used by Spring in the future (with an additional payment made to the artist).
Prizes: Each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a cheque payment of HK$3,500, HK$1,500 and HK$1,000 respectively.
