Based on Gotfried Toussaint’s description of rhythmic elements that make up everyday sounds, participants are introduced to contemporary soundscape compositions through use of improvisation and interactive engagement. In line with the theme, participants are gently pushed to go against their natural tendency to create ‘recognisable’ patterns.

This will be conducted by two musicians: Christopher Clarke, a multi-instrumentalist currently pursuing a Masters of Music at NUS; and Ng Zheng Jie, a Singapore-based musician specialising in percussive instruments.
