This Decemeber, we will be introducing Mizu’s later abstract works which were heavy inspired by International Maritime Signal Flags. International Maritime signal Flags are various flags used to communicate with ships. These flags are of different color and shapes put together and each flag can represent an alphabet, a number or code words. Mizu adopt these patterns with fond memories of flag games he use to play with his daughter when he was in Italy. He creates rhythmic pattern signal abstractions with his signature mute color palettes.
