Well-known for their quality coffee, wide array of indulgent food choices and exotic, luxurious atmosphere, the same team behind the multi-concept Wheeler’s Estate is now throwing a house-warming party at their new sprawling grounds with a free-for-all intimate lawn party, The Wheeler’s Festival. Expect spiffing music, food, and chill-out vibes at this easy-going and enjoyable festival.
Dedicated to the love of cycling and bicycles, organisers are kicking off this festival by inviting cyclists from all parts of Singapore to bust out their dusty bicycles from the storeroom and cycle to Wheeler’s Estate. Cyclists will stand a chance to win a Penny Farthing bicycle when they park at Wheeler’s first bicycle valet.
It will be the launch of the Wheeler’s cycling group and membership ride, WY-WE-CYCLE (https://www.facebook.com/wywecycle/). It is a 33km leisure ride that embarks from Wheeler’s Yard and ends at the new Wheeler’s Estate, located at the re-developed Seletar Aerospace Park. Through a Facebook contest, organisers will pick 20 lucky winners to commence WY-WE-CYCLE on the first day of the festival.
Purchase a picnic mat from the counter to throw on the lush green lawn of their 2 acres of land and revel in local live performances featuring ShiGGa Shay, Jack & Rai, Second Sunrise, Peter Tan, Daren Tan, Farrago, Falling Feathers, Scarlet Avenue and Wheeler’s own resident bands, BYOB and Jumpstart.
First-time visitors to the newly opened Wheeler’s Estate should definitely pack their cameras to commemorate a weekend well spent at Singapore’s most ‘Instagram-worthy’ café, with a picturesque landscape of abundant greenery acting as the perfect backdrop, and their silver Bambi Airstream trailer taking centre stage.
There will be food available from our Grill House as well as ice-cold beer to wash all that delicious grub down. Festival goers who do not like the grass will be glad for the renovated two-storey colonial building with more seating.
Happening on July 29 & 30, this two-day family-friendly festival is free for all and supported by Red Spade Events. Performances are expected to start from 4pm onwards and end at 11pm each day.
