‘Forgotten Memories’ is the debut art exhibition by ‘BE’. The inspiration spurs from the artists’ acute realisation of the natural progression of life – AGING.
Having a soft spot for the elderly, the artists have experiences with their aging loved
ones, some of whom suffered chronic illnesses such as Alzheimer’s Disease and
Parkinson’s. The exhibition aims to create awareness and raise funds for the elderly
living with Dementia.
The artists collected bitter-sweet memories as they painted their stories, through the theme ‘Forgotten Memories’. This exhibition comprises of artworks that are both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional, with an array of mediums used by each individual.
Happening in November 2016, this exhibition aims to raise $10,000 from the sales of
artworks showcased. The beneficiaries of this exhibition are the New Horizon Centres run by the Alzheimer’s Disease Association to provide daycare services for persons with dementia.
The venue of the exhibition will be held at Artistry, do come and support the artists and their charity cause.
