Last night, I had the honour of attending the opening of an exhibition organised by the Institute of Contempary Arts at LaSalle College of the Arts, Singapore. Curated by MrAlan Cruickshank, who is the Executive Director of the Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia & Editor, CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ART+CULTURE Broadsheet magazine.

Titled HOMELAND (HEIMAT), this new media exhibition is a collection of recent and new works by 5 artists. The 5 artists are Brenda L Croft, Hayati Mokhtar , Siamak Fallah, Basma Al Sharif and Qiu Anxiong.

I interviewed Brenda who can’t stop raving about a 3 hour massage she had earlier. She told me her works are a family archive, collected through the years by her mother and father. Who are also in the subjects in her photography exhibited.
