Singaporean artist Idris Ali has been capturing the landscapes and street scenes of Singapore since the 1960s till now in watercolour. His works can be found in the collections of the National Gallery, National Heritage Board, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and many other government bodies, corporate organisations and private individuals.

Come and meet Idris, and discover his artistic journey, challenges and inspirations. Discuss with invited panelists Prof Kwok Kian Woon (NTU), Kamal Dollah (APAD), Stephen Leong (Federation of Art Societies Singapore) and fellow participants on anything art-related – the role of the artist, art in today’s context, heritage and developments in the local art scene.

Art Conversation is part of Idris Ali’s third solo show, Khazanah, showing at Maya Gallery from 18 March till 8 April 2017. The exhibition is supported by the National Arts Council.
