Dwell:ing is an exclusive exhibition of works created through two different mediums by Shin-young Park. Inspiration for these works came from shared public spaces and buildings amidst the permitted and unavoidable influence of Singapore’s multi-cultural society. The installation showcases 100 concrete public housing (HDB blocks) with contrasting and opposing colours, rendering a strong and vibrant assemblage of structures and dimensions. In addition, this work will be supported by a postcard size edition of the individual HDB blocks.

The screen print series depict a myriad of objects both natural and man-made exhibiting elements of life in a contemporary and modern city. We identify with familiar objects that once repositioned, gain deserved recognition and admiration.

Dwell:ing is an exhibition curated by Ludo Gallery and will be installed at the Visual Arts Centre from the June 6 to June 8. Thereafter the works will be situated at Ludo Gallery from June 10 to June 20, 2016. This exhibition is organised and circulated by Ludo.

ABOUT LUDO GALLERY
Ludo Gallery is one out of the few in Singapore that favours fine art print and fosters emerging and relatively unknown artists. Whilst Ludo is a platform for artists to showcase their work overseas, the gallery intends to focus equally on the local marketplace. We understand the risks involved in nurturing artists that do not fit a favoured style at any given period of time, rather we highlight the power of exploration and the process of generating their work. Ludo Gallery is a private gallery funded by B6t9 Design Pte Ltd.
