Forever And A Day by Sandra Lee
It Was Just Right by Sandra Lee

Fairy tales are memories of our childhoods and Singaporean artist, Sandra Lee is showcasing her interpretation of fairy tales at her latest solo exhibition at Art Seasons at POMO.

Art Seasons Gallery is proud to announce the Solo Exhibition by Singaporean artist Sandra Lee from June 21 to July 8, 2012. Sandra Lee’s works have universal appeal. Inspired by familiar fairy tales such as “The Old Lady Who Lives In A Shoe”, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” and “The Princess and the Pea”. They adopt a naïve perspective of child-like wondering and wandering, creating isolated episodes that appear to form a larger epic beyond our imagination.

And with a whimsical and cultural twist.

She Didn’t Know What To Do by Sandra Lee

“I believe in magic. My work reflects my interest in things that may or may not be, mysteries that are not solved for us. I express my thoughts and emotions by remaking the ideas and images of fairy tales and nursery rhymes that were part of my childhood. I am also inspired by popular culture. – Sandra Lee”

Check out “Forever and A Day by Sandra Lee” at Arts Seasons at their new gallery at PoMo. Till 8th July 2012.
