    An Indonesian Musical: Lakonna

    The annual Indonesian Cultural Night musical is back on stage this February. After garnering success with its Bali-themed musical in 2016, the Indonesian students in Nanyang Technological University are ready to bring a piece of Indonesian culture to the National Drama Centre, Singapore once again. Titled ICN 2018: Lakonna, the original musical is set in Tana Toraja, an exotic, ancient civilization in Sulawesi. Although it is inspired by centuries-old folktale called ‘Batingna Lebonna’, Lakonna remains relevant in modern times as it explores many dilemma and issues we still face today. (more…)
