The 60th Venice Biennale, curated by Adriano Pedrosa, explores the theme Foreigners Everywhere, reflecting on identity, belonging, and displacement. Set across the Giardini and Arsenale, the exhibition presents powerful works from around the world. Highlights for me included Trevor Yeung’s reflections on memory (Hong Kong), Robert Zhao Renhui’s ecological lens (Singapore), the Netherlands Pavilion’s melting chocolate altars critiquing colonialism, and Mexico’s haunting banquet installation evoking decay and lost rituals. Each offered a quiet, powerful statement that lingers long after leaving.
